Safe work zones are essential

Problem and context: When working along roads, safe work zones are essential. Yet traditional barriers often require a lot of logistics: multiple transports, moves and manual placement. This takes time, personnel and increases risk exposure. A mobile barrier that can be deployed quickly and moves easily with the work, reduces transport movements and ensures that road workers can work safely at all times.

Individual elements

The barrier consists of individual barrier elements of 12 metres that can be linked together to any length. Traditional barriers are static and have to be moved using large equipment. The remote-controlled Go-Barry can be safely driven to the right spot. The Go-Barry can also drive along during work and dynamically close and clear lanes.

Solution: The Go-Barry is a mobile, relocatable barrier that makes it possible to quickly create a safe work zone without heavy logistics or extra transport movements. With its compact design and easy portability, Go-Barry moves easily with the daily progress of work. This keeps road workers better protected and allows the team to continue working more efficiently.

Shorter working areas

By deploying the Go-Barry, work areas are shorter and less time is lost moving barriers. The biggest benefit, of course, is that we greatly increase the safety of both road workers and road users. This is because the Go-Barry makes it possible to carry out work that was previously carried out behind an open barrier (cones/guide beacons) behind a vehicle restraining barrier.

Think of a more powerful and accurate mover, smart sensors for better grip and control, improved GPS guidance and a completely renewed, maintenance-friendly body. Energy management and central control have also been greatly improved, making deployment even more efficient and reliable.
